The Hvalur 8 and 9 remain tied to the dock in Reykjavik. Iceland’s modern-day Captain Ahab continues to rage and whine that his whale murdering hobby has been banned for the season.

The crew of the JOHN PAUL DEJORIA remain on station at just over 12 miles from shore in the event Loftsson defies the government order.

It looks like not a single endangered Fin whale will be slain this summer.

Loftsson’s efforts to reverse the decision will most likely fail but he is aggressively working to force the government to give him a five-year permit to continue to kill whales beginning in 2024.

We must do everything we can to make sure not another whale falls victim to the cruel and deadly harpoons of this serial killing madman.
