My Decision to Resign from Sea Shepherd Australia Has Been Vindicated

March 21, 2024

I feel in the last 24 hours, my decision to Resign from Sea Shepherd Australia has been vindicated.

Sea Shepherd Global and Sea Shepherd Australia, including the vainglorious 4 directors who ousted Paul Watson illegally, have now been outed in the legal sense and made to walk the plank.

After listening to Jeff Hansen obliterate Paul’s character in front of all Australian volunteers, there were questions to be asked. Those questions were not satisfied, fact.

Jeff Hansen has a cozy relationship with David Carter of Austral Fisheries, fact.

Sea Shepherd Australia received intel from Austral Fisheries, fact.

David Carter went on the record to say that Sea Shepherd Australia were eliminating their competition in the Patagonian and Antarctic toothfish game, fact.

Sea Shepherd Australia paid David Carter of Austral Fisheries in order to buy the Corinthian Star, taking that burden off their hands, fact.

Jeff Hansen placed a media ban on Sea Shepherd Australian volunteers and employees from promoting the ex Austral Fisheries vessel as it was being transitioned into the AllanKay, fact.

All this stinks to high heaven.

I lost Sea Shepherd colleagues because I refused to accept the leadership of Jeff Hansen, fact.

Every other ship that belonged to Sea Shepherd received a media blitz when in Australia, but not Austral’s Corinthian Star aka AllanKay. They knew the public would not be impressed and would see the conflict of interest between Jeff Hansen and David Carter.

Now I can truly move on and support CPWF as well as those Sea Shepherds who continue in the vein of nonviolent direct action.

Although I will not have anything to do with Sea Shepherd Australia in the near future, I do have so much for the work the marine debris guys and gals are doing.

I will also support the work of France, Brazil, UK, and New Zealand.

For those who unfriended me, I hold no grudges and hope we meet in the middle one day soon.
