XX Compromise – 86,000 Seals Will Die in Namibia

XX Compromise – 86,000 Seals Will Die in Namibia

Less than a hundred miles from the 2nd largest slaughter of seals on the planet, and Sea Shepherd Global decided to send a ship, the Allan Kay, thousands of miles away to film krill trawlers leaving two other ships (Ocean Warrior and Age of Union) berthed free of charge at the Namibian government docks, in exchange for saying and doing nothing about the killing of 90,000 South African Fur seals.

ICELANDIC WHALE WARS PREPARATIONS

ICELANDIC WHALE WARS PREPARATIONS

January 9, 2024 Recently I’ve had people being critical of our plan to return to Iceland.  Many of them being the usual suspects i.e. people I formally trusted who changed the course of Sea Shepherd Global to the mediocre mainstream of non-action saber rattling. First, they are saying that my tactics will alienate Icelanders and secondly,  it’s; “Hey Iceland said they will not issue permits and whaling will be ended, so why are you fund-raising to go to Iceland if no…

Hugo Clément, Lamya Essemlali and Myself at Ocean Fest in Nantes on Sunday.

What an incredible fund raising event. We spoke to 800 people in the afternoon at a special two hour conference and in the evening before the bands hit the stage we spoke to 7,500 people. for 15 minutes. France is by far our largest support base and one of only two countries where my wearing the Sea Shepherd name and logos is not banned by the Mutineers of Sea Shepherd Global.  Lamya Essemlali, the President of Sea Shepherd France has…

WE ARE PREPARING TO SAIL INTO HARM’S WAY

WE ARE PREPARING TO SAIL INTO HARM’S WAY

January 8, 2024 We are doing everything possible, through the Icelandic legal system and the political process and we hope that the government of Iceland will put an end to the mad obsession of Kristjian Loftsson to slaughter endangered Fin whales. But if this fails, if Loftsson gets what he is demanding, we will be there in Icelandic waters to aggressively and non-violently block his murderous desires and we will risk our ship, our lives and our freedom to do…

Honouring Lamya Essemlali

Honouring Lamya Essemlali

December 29, 2023 Excellent profile on Lamya Essemlali, the President of Sea Shepherd France in the French publication Reporterre. At the top of the article is a connection for an English translation. The translation is not great but understandable. When people ask me who do I think should replace me as the leader of the Sea Shepherd movement, the answer is easy. Lamya Essemlali has been the most dynamic and tireless Sea Shepherd leader for years. What she has done…

The Self-Censorship of Sea Shepherd History

The Self-Censorship of Sea Shepherd History

December 28, 2023 If you look up the history on Google of some Sea Shepherd actions like this link for example, you will get: This content isn’t available right now. When this happens, it’s usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it’s been deleted. https://www.facebook.com/…/throwback…/10158663477733259/ The reason I was forcefully and unlawfully removed from Sea Shepherd is because I was considered to be too radical and too controversial for…

Surviving the Treachery of the Four Sea Shepherd Mutineers

Surviving the Treachery of the Four Sea Shepherd Mutineers

December 19, 2023 I will never forget the betrayal that ousted me from the Sea Shepherd movement I founded in 1977. In August 2022, I was unlawfully dismissed from Sea Shepherd Global. There was no meeting, no discussion, no vote. Sea Shepherd Global had six directors including myself and Sea Shepherd France President Lamya Essemlali. Lamya was not invited to the meeting because they knew she would support me. The meeting was held in secret. They dismissed me with an…

A MESSAGE TO SUPPORTERS OF SEA SHEPHERD GERMANY

A MESSAGE TO SUPPORTERS OF SEA SHEPHERD GERMANY

Have you noticed that Sea Shepherd Germany does not allow comments on its social pages? This is because they have no transparency. They have refused to give supporters an explanation as to why they illegally removed me as a member. In August 2023 I was informed that there would be a meeting to discuss my removal. They sent me an invitation for a date in September. I made myself available for the meeting only to be told that it was…

A Cetacean Serial Killer for Iceland “man” of the year. OR A Woman Who Helps Animals. Your Vote Is Important!

A Cetacean Serial Killer for Iceland “man” of the year. OR A Woman Who Helps Animals. Your Vote Is Important!

December 16, 2023 Visir, a media outlet in Iceland has a list of nominations for man of the year (Should be person of the year). One of the nominees is cetacean serial killer Kristján Loftsson. Voting is open to the general public. I am endorsing Sandra Ósk Jóhannsdóttir: For creating employment and fighting to be able to practice sustainable use of the ocean’s resources and for never giving up even if the wind blows hard. There are other nominees, but…
