The Mad Whaler is Very Mad And Spouting Nonsense

June 22, 2023 Iceland’s modern day Captain Ahab’s obsession with killing whales has made him angry, frustrated and paranoid after the decision by the Icelandic Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries to ban whaling operations for the 2023 season. He’s calling the Minister an extreme communist and is threatening to topple her government. Loftsson has no intention of stopping whaling and is using his wealth and influence to force the government to reverse the decision. The John Paul DeJoria will remain…

June 20, 2023 The decision to end whaling in Iceland came about because of the incredible efforts by so many people for so many years. Many organizations in Iceland and around the world have contributed to this special day. ORCAS AND ICEBERGS

ORCAS AND ICEBERGS

June 14, 2023 Yesterday, while moving through the wonderfully calm waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, we passed a pod of Orcas and an iceberg. We decided to transit through the Gulf of St. Lawrence from Cabot Strait to the Strait of Belle Isle to save time and to avoid bad weather east of Newfoundland. It was not without hassle.  The Canadian Coast Guard harassed us, demanding certificates that we are not required to have and insisting that we…

OPERATION PAIAKAN

June 10, 2023 0600 Hours: 48 Hours since our Departure from New York City Harbor What a wonderful beginning for the voyage of the John Paul DeJoria and Operation Paiakan.
