They Are What I Shall Never Be
February 18, 2024
There are those who betray for gold.
There are those who betray for fame.
There are those who betray for hate.
Betrayal sprouts from hearts gone cold.
The shame of the betrayal game.
There is no expiry date.
The betrayer can never have peace.
Malfeasance and perfidy.
Haunted by sin until the end.
The guilt festers and does not cease.
Those traitors who deserted me.
The ones who I once did call friend.
I gave them the means to be strong.
Promoted them, defended them.
Gave them their positions and fame.
In return they did me great wrong.
They passed the sentence to condemn.
What was not theirs, they staked their claim.
Great duplicity and deceit.
Motivated by darkish greed.
A blackish indelible stain.
From their foul mouths it does excrete.
Using ugly lies to succeed.
On their forehead the mark of Cain.
Striking down their brother for gain.
Clutching their purses of silver cash.
Betraying the cause they once served.
Integrity flushed down the drain.
Our strategies tossed in the trash.
No transparency, unobserved.
Bullies sic’ing lawyers to attack.
Claiming what they did not create.
Using the courts to stifle dreams.
Knocking our great cause off the track.
Pseudo activism to distrait.
Steering our ships to the mainstreams.
Partnering with corporations.
Manipulated by bureaucrats.
Deconstructing the founder’s dream.
Trivializing operations.
Wearing branded corporate hats.
Hostile take over was the scheme
We carry on with our fine tools,
With passion igniting courage.
Guided by imagination.
Karma shall condemn these four fools.
They shall pay for their demurrage.
Against the cetacean nation.
The sneaky sniveling sly Swede.
The two greedy lying Dutchmen.
The droll hypocrite boy from Perth
All shamed for their mutinous deed
Condemned by my furious pen.
And my unstoppable rebirth
I am the Shepherd of the Sea.
That they shall never take from me
All that which they did not design.
They will fall like a rotten tree.
And unlike them I remain free.
