WHALE WARS CONTINUED

WHALE WARS CONTINUED

NEPTUNE’S PIRATES – DESTINATIONS FOR 2024

ICELAND, THE FAROES AND ANTARCTICA

December 14, 2023

We need to be ready for the return of the Japanese whaling fleet to the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary.

Japan retired the factory ship Nisshan Maru and replaced it with the newly constructed Kangei Maru. There is only one use for a whale processing factory ship and that is to kill whales in the Southern Ocean.

Earlier this year, Japan sent two harpoon boats to the Southern Ocean to do non-lethal research. This translates as a scouting mission for the Japanese whaling industry.

I always knew that they would return and until 2022, I was confident that we would be ready to launch three Sea Shepherd ships to intercept and intervene.

Unfortunately, that possibility was removed when I was betrayed and ousted from Sea Shepherd Global by Peter Hammarstedt, Alex Cornelissen, Geert Vons and Jeff Hansen. Jeff Hansen decided to collaborate with the Austral Fisheries and the Japanese Maruha Daichiro corporations in return for securing tax status and larger donations in Australia. Peter Hammarstedt has said that the collaborative partnership with corrupt African nations to oppose foreign fishing in African waters has saved more whales than our Antarctic campaigns, and that my continued obsession with the whalers had become a problem for Sea Shepherd.

The Sea Shepherd that I created no longer exists outside of France and Brazil. The founding principles have been abandoned in an effort to become mainstream and to move away from controversy and confrontation.

It was tough having to deal with those who betrayed us and the fact that Sea Shepherd Global continues to sue Sea Shepherd France and to threaten me with lawsuits if I use the name I created or the logos I created and designed.

One thing for sure, Sea Shepherd Global cannot be trusted to return to the Southern Ocean to protect the whales because of their new policy of non-confrontation with governments.

But I intend to return, and many veterans of past Sea Shepherd campaigns intend to return with me.

We have the John Paul DeJoria, and we are working to raise the funds to secure a second long range, ice strengthened ship.

Japan may return in December 2024 and most certainly in December 2025.

The Mutineers who unlawfully removed me and Lamya Essemlali from Global Sea Shepherd Board have made it difficult to reorganize and rebuild, but that challenge has been achieved and we will be ready, and with the support of the many thousands of Sea Shepherd supporters who have become aware of the treachery despite the complete lack of transparency. We will once again drive the whale-murdering criminals out of the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary.

I don’t have the Sea Shepherd supporter list, but as more and more supporters become aware of the betrayal, we are receiving their support.

So, I am appealing to Sea Shepherd supporters in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, South Africa and throughout the world to join me in the challenging task of stopping the Icelandic and the Japanese whalers in 2024 and 2025.

Sea Shepherd supporters in the UK, France and Brazil have already pledged their support to our campaign to stop Iceland and Japan.

Our international support base has always been the backbone of our operations.

The campaigns in 2024 and 2025 will be my last high seas campaign and I intend to make a significant impact. Whaling must end, first Iceland and the Faroe Islands this coming summer and Japan in Antarctica next December.

So much to do and so little time to prepare, but I am confident we are up for the challenge.

For everyone that loves and values the whales, this will be the fitting end to my career that since 1975 has seen whaling abandoned by the Soviet Union, Spain, Australia, Chile, South Africa, Peru and South Africa, a career that sank half the whaling fleets of Spain and Iceland, four whaling boats in Norway and drove the Japanese whaling fleet from the Southern Ocean, and we will do again.

Together we can stop this monstrous destructive and cruel industry.
